I loved using this resource! I had so much fun browsing for RSS feeds that interested me. I thought it was really cool that you could have anything from educational sites, to news sites, to games, to even quotes and statistics of the day! In all honesty, I think that this will be something that I use often. I thought about making it my home page, but I decided that nothing could take facebook's place as my home page. :) Anyways, like I said, I thought it was really cool how you can add anything to this page. It is an easy way to keep track of so many things that are going on. For example, I even added a feed for the 2010 Olympics. Now, I can simply log on to igoogle and view the results to see how the USA is doing.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with this site. I have seen some of family members use it, which made it everything I expected, but at the same time I did not realize how much you could make out of it. I thought it was the same for everyone, but now that I learned how to personalize it, I really enjoy it. I had a hard time finding sites that included a link to add their website as a RSS feed, but then I saw that in the top right corner of the main igoogle page, it says something about adding feeds. I clicked on this and it opened up a wide range of sites to add to my page. You can even do it all at once and then edit your layout when you are done! Anyways, I hope you all find this resource as useful as I did!

Del.icio.us
http://delicious.com/cmcooper <-- Here is the link to my Delicious page!
I really enjoyed creating this because it is something that I am going to find useful throughout not only my educational career, but also my teaching career as well. I am excited that I found a way to keep track of all of my sources! My favorite part about Delicious is that you can log on to it from any computer. This means, that if I am at school researching and I find a resource I would like to use, then I can log on to Delicious and save it. Then, when I am at home I will remember what I found and be able to access it as well. I found it helpful that I could "tag" the resources so that it was not simply a list of a million websites, but rather a list with structure to it making it easier to access exactly what I need.

Podcast
http://www.box.net/shared/dp063udv70 Here is the link to my podcast. Please comment and let me know if you have any problems opening it. I had a really hard time trying to figure out how to post it onto my blog.
First of all, a podcast is a sort of tool that allows you to share or demonstrate ideas with other people through the use of technology. In order to create this podcast, I used a program called Audacity. Audacity is fairly simple. You can do simple things such as; import songs and record your voice. Then, if needed you can copy, paste and record it again in order to pull it all together. Finally, Audacity makes it easy for you to go through your podcast at any time and make changes to it. Just remember to save often!
Overall, I would have to say that I am glad that I did not wait until the last minute to complete this assignment! Making a podcast seems simple, but when you are not familiar with the programs you are using, it can become time consuming and frustrating. Luckily, however, in the end you can look back and see that it is not necessarily hard. In order to complete this podcast, I had to have patients. I honestly cannot tell you how many times I had to start over or edit and undo things that as I prepared this product. I truly felt a little click happy when it came to using Audacity because I was new to everything. The only way to learn something is to try it out and that is what you almost HAVE to do when using this program. You have to continuously click on different things and try them out and eventually, after much frustration, it will all work out how you want it to. Although this assignment was difficult, I feel as though I am more familiar with the program and I think that my next podcast might come a little easier! (At least I hope so). Just remember to save often! If you get frustrated, as I am sure you will, walk away from the computer for a little while and then come back. The best advice I can give to you on this one would be to not wait until the last minute! :)
