Hi, my name is Courtney Cooper. I am 19 years old. Currently, I am a freshman at IUPUI. I graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2009. Since third grade, I have lived in the Fishers area and attended school in the Southeastern School District. Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher. That is why I am currently studying Elementary Education at IUPUI. I hope to one day become a first or second grade teacher in the Hamilton Southeastern School District. Outside of school I spend a lot of my time babysitting. Due to the career path that I am currently on, I think that not only is this a job that I enjoy, but also it is good practice for what I will hopefully be spending the rest of my life doing. I also love hanging out with my friends. We spend a lot of time shopping, going out to eat and catching the latest movies and shows on television. Finally, I enjoy reading, working out and listening to music. Whenever I am having a hard time with anything, I have found that these three things help me get through it. Overall, I like to stay positive, smile and enjoy life. I like to live, laugh and love.
Although this is not the first blog I have created, I did find that I enjoy going through this website more! This site, unlike the one I used previously, allows you to adapt your profile to your personality. You can create your own sort of style by choosing the color font you would like as well as incorporating a picture of yourself. When creating this profile, I felt at first like I was limited; however just remember, that the more you look around and the more you mess with different buttons, the more you will realize just how much you can do with your blog. As I said before, I have never used this site, so I am still learning. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know and I can at least try and help you figure it out. Who knows, maybe it will help all of us!

I too have wanted to teach small children ever since I could remember. It was almost like a calling. I grew up in the IPS district though. I also find music is a sort of release for me as well. I really like your homepage with the lime green on it. And i agree that this site was easy to work through and every time you get on you can learn something new to personalize it.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking through your blog. I think that you are very lucky that you have known what you wanted to pursue as a career for so long. I also like that you did things throughout high school to help you prepare for teaching. I also did a lot of babysitting throughout high school and I believe it is a great way to decide whether or not you want to pursue teaching as a career or not. I hope your first year at IUPUI goes well!
