First of all, a podcast is a sort of tool that allows you to share or demonstrate ideas with other people through the use of technology. In order to create this podcast, I used a program called Audacity. Audacity is fairly simple. You can do simple things such as; import songs and record your voice. Then, if needed you can copy, paste and record it again in order to pull it all together. Finally, Audacity makes it easy for you to go through your podcast at any time and make changes to it. Just remember to save often!
Overall, I would have to say that I am glad that I did not wait until the last minute to complete this assignment! Making a podcast seems simple, but when you are not familiar with the programs you are using, it can become time consuming and frustrating. Luckily, however, in the end you can look back and see that it is not necessarily hard. In order to complete this podcast, I had to have patients. I honestly cannot tell you how many times I had to start over or edit and undo things that as I prepared this product. I truly felt a little click happy when it came to using Audacity because I was new to everything. The only way to learn something is to try it out and that is what you almost HAVE to do when using this program. You have to continuously click on different things and try them out and eventually, after much frustration, it will all work out how you want it to. Although this assignment was difficult, I feel as though I am more familiar with the program and I think that my next podcast might come a little easier! (At least I hope so). Just remember to save often! If you get frustrated, as I am sure you will, walk away from the computer for a little while and then come back. The best advice I can give to you on this one would be to not wait until the last minute! :)

Great job on your podcast!! I LOVE that song, btw =). Good ideas were given for events to do with your loved ones, I especially like the fact that you gave dates and times!! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Courtney! I like your idea to do local sporting events - especially with the intent to bring families together and have fun! My husband and I took our boys to their first Pacer game last year, and we all had so much fun! Your podcast reminded me that it's time to get that planned again for all of us! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI also liked that you put music at the beginning and end. I had no problem hearing your voice like I've had listening to others that used music. Great song choice too! =)
i liked you topic of your podcast because sporting events are a good way to spend time with loved ones and kind of forget about day to day life for awhile. Great job!

ReplyDeleteGood Job with your podcast! I also had a very difficult time getting my podcast onto my blog. I thought you had a very good idea for a blog. I loved playing and watching sports throughout high school and need to do it more now that I am in college. I could tell that you put time into it by not just stating different sports, but also saying when their next game was!
ReplyDeleteYour McLovin's type of girl :). All jokes aside i love your podcast because I am obsessed with sports. Whenever I do have free time to watch Tv the channel my television is on the whole time is Sports Center. I love ESPN! Your podcast also shows how you can spend time with your loved ones! I really respect your podcast
